Community Involvement

Sunday June 8 was a day to celebrate!  In addition to being National Cancer Survivors Day, an event was held to commemorate the 1st Anniversary of The Wellness Community / Northern Jersey Shore.  Russell Reid President and Vice Chair of the Wellness Community Gary Weiner braved the heat to join the celebration along with more than 100 center participants and their families. 

The event included a speech given by Eatontown Mayor Gerald Tarantolo who expressed his gratitude to the Wellness Community for providing hope and help to the people in his jurisdiction.   Entertainment included motivational speaker Rosemarie Poverman, Josh the Magician and a performance by the Core Fire Dancers.

The Wellness Community / Northern Jersey Shore is an organization that strives to bring cancer support, education and hope to those directly or indirectly affected by the illness.
